Apollo Lake is Intel’s current Atom, Celeron and Pentium SoC. Compared to Braswell, there’s no low-cost Atom part.
The advantage over Braswell is simpler board layout and BOM cost savings.
Feature wise Intel added support for MIPI-DSI, as well as two more PCIe lanes and LPDDR4 support. Other new features includes USB 3.0 OTG, two more USB 3.0 ports, an updated GPU and VT-d support. The best SKU options here is the Celeron N3450 or N3350.
